We visit Emma a blogger, social media influencer and mother who lives in Glasgow with her little boy Alfie and husband Darren. She shows us around some of her favourite spots in the city.

Describe yourself and what you do?

I’m Emma, I’m 30 and live in Glasgow with my other half, Darren and our 18 month old son, Alfie. I’m a blogger and social media influencer alongside working part time in Education (life is super busy). I blog mainly about travel, motherhood and everyday life with my son.

What is your favourite thing about living in Glasgow?

The people are what make living in Glasgow so wonderful, whatever part of the city you visit there is always a real feel of community. It wasn’t until I had travelled so much that I really got to appreciate the warmth and friendliness off Glaswegians, the people make this city.

What are the best places to visit in Glasgow on a family day out?

We love a family day out at the park, there are so many great parks close by. Rouken Glen and Pollock Country Park are just two of my favourites. On weekends we love to go on a long walk in the park, Alfie spends some time in the play park and afterward we grab a cake and coffee in the café, it’s always a lovely day. Of course at times the weather can be off putting here, for a great day out when the weathers not great, we love the Glasgow Science Centre, it’s so much fun for all the family.

And coming inside where are some great places to eat as a family?

Life with a toddler means early rises even on the weekends so we tend to be on the go in the mornings and early afternoon then back home for dinner. We love to eat out for brunch (brunch is my favourite time of day). Over the last few years Glasgow has seen so many trendy brunch spots pop up all over the city, reminds me a little of Melbourne. Brambles in Giffnock is just brunch heaven and Wilson Street Pantry in the city centre is my go to. It’s always an added bonus when you find somewhere so delicious and baby friendly!

You have travelled the world and visited some amazing places. What has been your greatest adventure so far?

Just before Alfie was born, Darren and I set off on a 7 month backpacking trip around South East Asia, it was an incredible experience. I spent 4 months of the trip pregnant with Alfie which was challenging but also so special, it felt like he was completely part of the trip. Vietnam was definitely a highlight for me, it is a beautiful country with so much culture and history, I loved it.

Your little one has a super adorable style if you were to pick a look for Alfie what items would you choose?

The toughest question, there are so many stunning looks to choose from. From the moment I discovered I was pregnant I naturally gravitated towards traditional timeless clothing. Now that Alfie is becoming more little boy and less baby, I love dressing him like a little gentleman although comfort is always my priority.

For an everyday look I love the Darro Baby Look, the sage green jumper with bonnet is this seasons colour must for me. I love the relaxed feel of the trousers, the whole look is simple yet so sweet. Our Sunday best outfit would have to be the Zas baby look. I’m a sucker for fine detail and cable stitch anything always gets me, I love this stylish pale blue cardigan. Dungarees or shorts with braces are a summer must, I find this look to be the perfect summer look.
